Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling exercises for Splunk applications to identify design flaws and architectural weaknesses.
- Use AI-driven and automated security tools to discover attack vectors and analyze data flows.
- Validate AI-generated findings and translate them into actionable security tasks.
- Participate in application design reviews and advise on secure coding and threat mitigation.
- Document threats, track remediation efforts, and ensure security design requirements are met.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to communicate security risks and solutions.
- Improve processes for threat discovery and security documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience or master’s degree plus 2 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of application security principles and the Secure Development Lifecycle.
- Experience or strong interest in threat modeling frameworks such as STRIDE and application architecture.
- Comfort using automated security scanning or AI-assisted analysis tools.
- Basic understanding of Splunk application architecture and distributed systems.
- Preferred: hands-on threat modeling experience for complex software or cloud applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI or ML-based security tools for static or dynamic analysis and architectural review.
- Preferred: ability to interpret technical reports, prioritize remediation by risk, and communicate security risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
