Responsibilities
- Design, model, implement, and maintain control algorithms and control strategies for energy storage and power infrastructure systems.
- Develop PLC, HMI, embedded, and control software, along with automation scripts, testing tools, simulation environments, and integration pipelines.
- Configure, integrate, and maintain SCADA systems for BESS and power infrastructure projects.
- Support control hardware selection, configuration, and integration, including controllers, relays, meters, and network devices.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests and troubleshoot control logic, real-time execution, PLC/SCADA behavior, and system performance.
- Support installation, commissioning, field deployments, and ongoing operational troubleshooting both remotely and on-site.
- Collaborate with engineering, field service, project management, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders on system integration, documentation, training, and support.
- Ensure control systems meet cybersecurity, safety, regulatory, and applicable standards and code requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience developing PLC, HMI, and control software for industrial or energy systems.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++, C#, Python, or a similar language.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC programming using TIA Portal.
- Experience with Ignition SCADA, including HMI development and system integration.
- Familiarity with control algorithms, real-time systems, industrial automation, industrial communication protocols, and structured software development practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot control systems remotely and on-site.
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and field deployments, including travel to the United States.
