Responsibilities
- Extend the in-house Python test framework with drivers for laboratory instruments and HIL simulators.
- Build an MCP server that exposes hardware testing workflow steps to AI agents.
- Improve the CI pipeline and GitLab integration for automated test execution and reporting.
- Use agentic AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude and refine team instructions and agent setups.
- Deliver maintainable, testable components that engineers can run on real hardware.
Requirements
- Be on track to attain a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Have comfortable Python programming proficiency.
- Be curious about hardware and willing to work hands-on in a laboratory environment.
- Be interested in experimenting with AI coding tools and new engineering workflows.
- Be able to work independently on incompletely documented problems.
- Exposure to lab instruments, CI/CD pipelines, embedded systems, or power electronics is a plus.
- Ability to commit for more than five months is preferred.
