Responsibilities
- Own the Recommendation service and help ensure it continuously delivers a strong customer discovery experience.
- Collaborate with global teams to co-build a world-class recommendation system.
- Analyze large volumes of customer behavior data to derive actionable insights.
- Develop machine learning models, features, and algorithms for recommendation quality improvements.
- Create data jobs for machine learning features, train new models, run experiments, and launch validated models.
- Mentor and grow engineers across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in applied AI/ML using large-scale, complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to derive insights, create reliable machine learning models, and solve business-critical problems with advanced AI/ML technologies.
- Experience serving as a company-wide technical leader and driving cross-functional delivery of large-scale, high-impact solutions.
- Professional proficiency in Python and/or Java with relevant industry experience.
- Proven record of launching successful algorithms with measurable business impact.
- Professional proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or master’s degree in a related technical field; recommendation or search systems experience; LLM, PLM, and embedding model experience; cloud platform and large-scale online serving experience.
