Responsibilities
- Own the Recommendation service and help maintain a consistently high-quality customer discovery experience.
- Collaborate with global teams to co-build a world-class recommendation system.
- Analyze large-scale customer behavior data to derive actionable insights.
- Develop machine learning models, features, and recommendation algorithms or improve existing algorithms.
- Create data jobs for machine learning features, train models, run experiments, and launch new models.
- Mentor and develop engineers across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of professional applied AI/ML experience working with large-scale, complex datasets to create robust features and reliable machine learning models.
- Demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets and solve business-critical problems using advanced AI/ML technologies.
- Experience as a domain technical leader driving cross-team collaboration on large-scale, high-impact solutions.
- Professional proficiency in Python and/or Java with relevant industry experience.
- Professional proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or master’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific field.
- Preferred: experience with recommendation or search systems, LLMs, PLMs, embedding models, large-scale online serving systems, AWS, GCP, and Vertex AI.
