Responsibilities
- Own the overall architecture and technical direction of backend systems and platforms.
- Design scalable, highly available, secure, and maintainable distributed systems and microservices.
- Define service architecture, APIs, data models, integration patterns, and technology standards.
- Drive architecture and design decisions across scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost considerations.
- Lead technical design and architecture reviews for major initiatives.
- Remain hands-on with Golang and Python on critical and technically complex components.
- Mentor senior engineers and provide architectural direction across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend and distributed systems expertise.
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience operating as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang and Python.
- Deep knowledge of system architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to drive architecture and technical decisions across multiple teams.
- Experience leading large-scale architecture modernization or technology transformation initiatives.
