Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation algorithmic trading platforms and Smart Order Routing systems.
- Contribute to platform architecture and ensure performance, latency, code-quality, and SDLC standards.
- Partner with traders, quantitative researchers, product teams, and clients to define and deliver platform features and trading-strategy enhancements.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, development tools, and environments for reliability and performance at scale.
- Build and maintain monitoring, trade reconciliation, application recovery, and other common trading-platform support solutions.
- Optimize low-latency systems involving concurrency and high-throughput architectures.
- Collaborate on global strategy and cross-regional delivery across a distributed organization.
- Use Citi’s AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and innovation.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience.
- Strong technical expertise in low-latency Java, C++, or Rust development.
- Prior experience developing algorithmic trading or Smart Order Routing platforms, or equivalent experience at a global financial institution.
- Expertise in low-latency system design, performance optimization, concurrency, and high-throughput architecture.
- Strong understanding of automated testing techniques, quality engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration processes.
- Knowledge of market microstructure, regional exchange operations, and regulatory regimes across regional markets.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and understand complex concepts in multicultural, cross-regional environments.
