Responsibilities
- Own and approve technical designs across the Salesforce implementation team before development begins.
- Design secure integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using APIs and secure messaging.
- Define and enforce Salesforce architecture, coding standards, reference patterns, and integration standards.
- Create high-level and low-level design documentation, including cost and impact analysis.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions involving Salesforce AppExchange and other vendors.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across Salesforce and connected systems.
- Spend at least 50% of the time designing, building, and maintaining solutions with Apex and Lightning Web Components.
- Use and evaluate AI-assisted coding tools and assess AI capabilities within the integration architecture and technical roadmap.
- Mentor Salesforce developers through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee deployment strategies, environment management, and DevOps CI/CD processes.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and collaborate with other architects.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL.
- Experience architecting complex, secure enterprise systems and producing scalable technical designs, HLDs, LLDs, cost analyses, and impact analyses.
- Deep knowledge of system integration patterns, API design, data modeling, migration planning, and data quality management.
- Willingness to remain hands-on while owning technical architecture and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Experience mentoring development teams through code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Interest in using AI for development acceleration and considering its role in integration architecture.
- Executive-level communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent English.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Salesforce Certified Integration Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect credentials are welcomed.
- Experience defining architecture standards across Salesforce and other enterprise platforms such as data warehouses is welcomed.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Billing is welcomed.
