Responsibilities
- Lead work from design through implementation and operation, including maintainable code, documentation, testing, and reliable releases.
- Set technical direction for complex systems running games at scale and make trade-offs among player experience, delivery speed, and long-term health.
- Improve delivery, performance, reliability, scalability, and security across teams through sound design and production feedback.
- Partner with product, data, design, and other disciplines to clarify ambiguous problems, align decisions, manage dependencies, and deliver business outcomes.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help colleagues succeed beyond the immediate team.
Requirements
- Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals in system design, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
- Deep experience with Java, C#, or another object-oriented language, including asynchronous and parallel programming.
- Track record of designing, shipping, and operating complex production systems with high-quality, maintainable code.
- Ability to lead across teams and disciplines through influence, communicate decisions clearly, and work constructively.
- Product engineering mindset, sound judgment under ambiguity, and a habit of learning and improving.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, low-latency and high-volume distributed systems, large-scale data technologies, React, or Angular is preferred.
