Base Salary

$197k - $243k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal engineering teams to gather requirements and develop the service-management platform.
  • Design and implement frontend and backend applications that manage thousands of change rollouts daily.
  • Create cross-functional architectural designs optimized for long-term use.
  • Develop, mentor, and share engineering best practices to improve automation and efficiency.
  • Shape the team’s vision with managers and collaborate with global engineering teams.
  • Design, build, ship, monitor, and support tools and systems used by other engineers at Roblox scale.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and at least 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 8+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with backend and frontend development, distributed systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies, and tools built at scale.
  • Experience with Docker, container technologies, and CD platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry build, test, and CI/CD technologies.
  • Full-stack experience using two or more languages or technologies such as Go, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp and Kubernetes is preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $196,750–$243,290 USD for roles based at the San Mateo headquarters.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
  • Headquarters-based work is onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.
