Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own improvements to developer workflows by identifying problems, designing and shipping productivity tools, and measuring their impact.
- Build AI agent sandboxes and harnesses in C and Rust, plus integrations and context agents for Roblox’s C++ game engine codebase.
- Partner with technical leaders across Engine and Infrastructure to deliver reliable engineering productivity tools.
- Own developer tools and systems through design, launch, and ongoing operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience working on projects from 0 to 1.
- Experience owning substantial parts of a developer tool or system through design, launch, and ongoing operation.
- Systems programming experience in C, C++, or Rust.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to turn ambiguous developer needs into practical solutions, work independently, and learn unfamiliar tools and systems.
- Experience with or interest in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or React is a plus.
- Interest in AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Pi is a plus.
