Responsibilities
- Develop web-based ground systems for commanding, telemetry monitoring, and mission planning.
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Participate in Agile development cycles, sprint planning, integration, and verification activities.
- Collaborate with Mission Operations teams on system integration and readiness.
- Support mission operations simulations.
- Integrate software solutions within a multidisciplinary engineering team and interface with hardware design and development teams.
- Provide technical input during major milestones and program reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Technology, Physics, or Math from an accredited institution.
- Five years of related software development experience.
- Experience with Git-based platforms such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Experience with at least one backend framework, such as ASP.NET or Flask.
- Proficiency with Linux commands, system tools, and Bash scripting.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming such as C or C++.
- Experience working on cross-disciplinary engineering teams and collaborating with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a U.S. government background investigation, with eligibility for access to classified information.
- Preferred qualifications include hardware/software integration, spaceflight program support, real-time console or operations center experience, CMMI frameworks, software architecture and system design, Agile development methodologies, JIRA or JAMA, Docker, AWS, Grafana, and a related master’s degree.
