Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable full-stack applications.
- Design and develop APIs, microservices, and distributed systems for high-performance mission-critical applications.
- Build responsive user interfaces and maintainable, testable, reusable software.
- Design and optimize data models, persistence layers, and application integrations.
- Drive architecture decisions, engineering standards, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching, architecture guidance, and career development.
- Partner with DevOps engineers on reliable deployment, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Champion automated testing, code quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leading the design and delivery of complex software systems.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows, automated testing, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and applying DevOps or DevSecOps practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across development teams.
- Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience includes TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Nx, Turborepo, relational or NoSQL databases, distributed or microservice-based architectures, OpenTelemetry, and observability platforms.
- Preferred experience includes regulated software development environments, NIST 800-53, STIGs, secure software development, and software supply-chain security.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
