Base Salary

$113k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable full-stack applications.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems for mission-critical applications.
  • Build responsive user interfaces and maintainable, testable, and reusable code.
  • Design and optimize data models, persistence layers, and application integrations.
  • Drive software architecture decisions, engineering standards, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Champion automated testing, code quality practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor engineers through technical coaching, architecture guidance, and career development.
  • Collaborate with product owners, product managers, designers, architects, engineers, and DevOps engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support reliable deployment, scalability, observability, and operational excellence for applications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices and platform capabilities.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leading the design and delivery of complex software systems.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows, automated testing, Agile software development, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Bicep, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps or DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across development teams.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; an existing Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred experience with Nx or Turborepo, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, React, RESTful APIs, distributed or microservice-based architectures, relational or NoSQL databases, scalable data models, ATO, RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs, secure software development, software supply-chain security, OpenTelemetry, observability platforms, and distributed tracing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
