Base Salary
$148k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve C++ software with emphasis on performance, reliability, scalability, and low latency.
- Lead design and implementation of a major multi-product software platform from concept through deployment.
- Develop deterministic real-time and multithreaded applications using modern C++ concurrency, synchronization, and lock-free programming.
- Translate mathematical algorithms into optimized production-ready C++ code and integrate ML inference engines into fast-path pipelines.
- Perform benchmarking, performance analysis, defect resolution, architecture work, code reviews, and unit and functional testing.
- Support build automation and CI/CD pipelines and improve testing, deployment, and system reliability workflows.
- Mentor junior developers, lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions, and help define coding standards and design patterns.
- Collaborate with SQA, DevOps, hardware engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Principal-level technical depth and hands-on experience leading C++ software engineering work.
- Experience designing high-performance, scalable, reliable, embedded, real-time, or hardware-integrated systems.
- Ability to develop multithreaded software using C++ concurrency primitives, thread synchronization, and lock-free programming.
- Experience translating mathematical algorithms into optimized production software and conducting performance benchmarking and optimization.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and shape platform strategy.
- Experience with software quality practices including code review, unit testing, functional testing, deployment, and build automation.
