Base Salary
$148k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the existing C++ codebase, resolving defects, technical debt, and performance bottlenecks.
- Design and implement real-time, low-latency, multithreaded embedded systems using modern C++ concurrency, synchronization, and lock-free programming.
- Translate mathematical algorithms into optimized production-ready C++ code and integrate ML inference engines into fast-path pipelines.
- Lead system design, architecture, major feature development, platform strategy, and long-term technical planning.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and optimization initiatives to improve system efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, define coding standards and design patterns, and lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Collaborate with Product, SQA, DevOps, and hardware engineering teams on testing, deployment, build automation, CI/CD, and hardware integration.
- Maintain quality through peer review, unit testing, and functional testing.
Requirements
- Principal-level experience developing embedded, real-time, and performance-sensitive software.
- Strong hands-on C++ development experience, including multithreading, concurrency primitives, thread synchronization, and lock-free programming.
- Experience translating mathematical algorithms into optimized production software.
- Experience with system architecture, technical leadership, code review, mentoring, and platform strategy.
- Ability to design systems with deterministic performance and low-latency requirements.
- Experience with performance benchmarking, optimization, reliability, scalability, and embedded hardware interfaces.
- Experience integrating ML inference engines into latency-sensitive pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate across software, product, quality, DevOps, and hardware teams.
