Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, deploy, operate, and support secure and scalable software for the Affiliate Marketing platform.
- Develop frontend and backend services using the listed cloud, programming, database, and framework technologies.
- Translate user and product requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs.
- Write clean, secure, reusable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and unit testing.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
- Maintain infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, application monitoring, and service support processes.
- Identify and mitigate security threats and continuously improve engineering standards and practices.
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.
- Help establish ways of working, best practices, and team culture within a new engineering team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in commercial Software Engineering roles.
- Good frontend development experience, ideally with Angular.
- Extensive experience developing cloud software with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with Terraform, TypeScript, Java, Maven, Spring Boot, and Docker.
- Understanding of relational database design, SQL query optimization, SQL, and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.
- Experience using Git and applying SOLID principles, code reviews, unit testing, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience monitoring applications, preferably with CloudWatch and Datadog.
- Knowledge of information security and designing solutions that mitigate security threats.
- Experience using AI tools to augment software development practices.
- Preferred experience with TDD, pair programming, PHP, Redis, Memcached, Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS.
