Base Salary
$188k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ideate, develop, iterate on, and productionize personalization algorithms for ranking, content and user understanding, candidate retrieval, and post-ranking.
- Apply modern AI and LLM techniques to improve recommendations, system evaluation, and model development workflows.
- Contribute applied science expertise in recommendation approaches, evaluation methodology, data, features, and modeling objectives.
- Help define the technical vision and innovation roadmap for personalization systems.
- Design and run rigorous offline and online experiments and improve recommendation evaluation systems and methodology.
- Build maintainable, production-worthy ML systems and support development, testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data partners and communicate technical methodologies to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience developing machine learning models and deploying them to production systems.
- Strong background in applied ML science, end-to-end ML engineering, or a combination of both, with recommendation systems modeling experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI and LLM techniques and a solid understanding of the modern AI landscape.
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Databricks, Spark, and SQL.
- In-depth understanding of modern machine learning methods, models, and their mathematical foundations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD in computer science, statistics, math, or a related quantitative field; machine learning or AI publications; large-scale content recommendation experience; reinforcement learning or sequential decision-making experience; and recommendation evaluation experience including offline evaluation and A/B experimentation.
