Base Salary

$144k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advise the design, implementation, delivery, and modernization of high-performance trading software.
  • Integrate market data feeds from financial providers and exchanges to process real-time data and support trading strategies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing for engineering teams.
  • Improve trading applications' performance, scalability, reliability, and low-latency communications.
  • Lead comprehensive unit and integration testing, debugging, quality assurance, and validation for high transaction volumes.
  • Collaborate with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operation manuals, onboarding materials, and compliance-related records.
  • Monitor live trading systems, resolve complex operational issues, support maintenance, and lead disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience; the role typically reflects 10 or more years of software development experience.
  • Deep expertise in C++ and extensive experience with the FIX protocol.
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency trading systems.
  • Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, performance optimization, network programming, and messaging protocols.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic trading systems and financial markets, including order management, market data, and execution systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams and conduct code reviews.
  • Experience modernizing legacy trading systems and adopting new technologies and software development best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Benefits

  • Expected base salary of $144,000-$210,000.
  • Eligible for a discretionary incentive award based on company and individual performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits program, including medical and other benefits depending on the position and hours worked.
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
