Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services and distributed systems.
- Improve system quality, maintain existing codebases, conduct peer reviews, and develop standard operating procedures.
- Investigate and adopt relevant technologies, participate in architecture and code reviews, and support technical customer issues.
- Lead or mentor developers and drive technical work across cross-functional teams.
- Use AI as a core part of the software engineering lifecycle and help translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 10 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools and practices, and shell scripting is valued.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, automation, engineering toolchains, cloud or AI modernization initiatives, and cross-functional technical leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, communication, and decision-making skills.
