Responsibilities
- Operate and improve highly scalable distributed applications and horizontal platform engineering services.
- Build and maintain automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Support load balancers, perimeter security, integrations, API gateways, and platform adoption.
- Develop and troubleshoot software using Java, Python, Bash, Lua, and related technologies.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including hands-on PL/SQL development.
- Build machine learning pipelines and fraud, phishing, and anomaly detection models.
- Apply data science and security knowledge to petabyte-scale data, cryptographic privacy strategies, and threat detection.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve systems using cloud, logging, monitoring, and distributed storage technologies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Java/JEE.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong programming and scripting fundamentals in Python, Bash, or Lua.
- Strong relational and non-relational database fundamentals with hands-on PL/SQL experience.
- Preferred experience with Java and JVM runtime configuration and troubleshooting.
- Preferred familiarity with modern web services architectures, AWS, GCP, Azure, and distributed storage systems such as ScaleIO and Amazon S3.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and patterns, cryptographic algorithms, TLS, mTLS, secure communications standards, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Experience writing, understanding, and reverse-engineering regular expressions for pattern detection.
