Base Salary
$130k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starshield security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, satellites, and other Starshield systems.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with TPMs and HSMs.
- Preferred understanding of TCP/IP and UDP-based network protocols and experience navigating large, complex, interactive systems.
- Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Preferred active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
- Strong communication, collaboration, independent work, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $130,000.00–$160,000.00 for Level 1 and $150,000.00–$195,000.00 for Level 2.
