Base Salary

$130k - $195k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Starshield security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
  • Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, satellites, and other Starshield systems.
  • Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
  • Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations.
  • Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
  • Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with TPMs and HSMs.
  • Preferred understanding of TCP/IP and UDP-based network protocols and experience navigating large, complex, interactive systems.
  • Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Preferred active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, independent work, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $130,000.00–$160,000.00 for Level 1 and $150,000.00–$195,000.00 for Level 2.
