Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance and maintain frontend solutions across the Lightspeed platform.
  • Develop dashboards, pipeline visualisations and configuration editors.
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code for complex frontend applications.
  • Diagnose issues with users and engineering colleagues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Improve performance, usability, architecture and code quality.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and validate and test generated code.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver user and business-focused solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience in frontend or UI development and confidence working in complex codebases.
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern Angular, including Angular v18 or later.
  • Good experience with React, including hooks, context and state management.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, Flexbox and Grid.
  • Experience with Git workflows including branching, pull requests, rebasing and code reviews.
  • Experience maintaining unit and integration tests using tools such as Jest, Karma, Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and understanding of GraphQL.
  • Practical experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Understanding of clean code, SOLID principles and separation of concerns.
  • Comfort working collaboratively in Kanban and continuous-delivery environments.
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to learn and good written and spoken English.
  • Exposure to CI/CD or developer tooling such as Tekton, Jenkins, Harness or TeamCity is valued but not essential.
  • Experience with design systems, shared component libraries or frontend architecture patterns such as Nx is valued.
  • Enterprise technology, financial services or regulated-environment experience is valued.
