Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and architect scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Deploy solutions to Microsoft Azure and integrate EDP pipelines, automation tooling, and deployment solutions.
- Develop features, perform unit and component testing, participate in code reviews, and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide technical support during incident management, including troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and performance improvements.
- Analyze requirements, propose pragmatic technical solutions, and support proof-of-concept development for new technologies and frameworks.
- Design and program relational databases and integrate backend services with APIs and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with technology partners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to meet technical and business goals.
- Mentor and coach junior developers, support knowledge transfer, and contribute to team learning and continuous improvement.
- Identify and manage risks, maintain compliance with policies and standards, and support project milestones and delivery schedules.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Advanced experience developing with Spring Boot and Oracle databases.
- Hands-on experience deploying solutions to Microsoft Azure, including EDP pipeline setup.
- Experience with Redis, relational database programming, RESTful API development, Maven, Pip, Linux, Docker, and Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, mentoring, collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Angular, React, OpenAI APIs, and prompt flow is an asset.
- Ability to prototype new technologies and approaches and apply sound engineering judgment.
