Responsibilities
- Architect and implement large-scale systems for cloud-spend optimization, including reserved-instance automation, cost attribution, waste cleanup, and cross-cloud resource governance.
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for the Multi Cloud Efficiency pillar and lead design reviews and risk assessments.
- Build systems for performance regression detection, automated resource rightsizing, efficiency measurement, and release gating.
- Investigate complex system-wide performance issues and improve the stability and reliability of internal platform tools.
- Lead cross-functional efficiency initiatives with finance and cost teams.
- Mentor engineers, raise engineering quality standards, and drive engineering culture.
- Design AI-driven automation and autonomous remediation for continuous cost governance.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience building production-grade distributed systems.
- Production experience with Java, Scala, C++, or Go.
- Experience architecting large-scale infrastructure, cloud computing systems, and container orchestration using AWS, Azure, or GCP and Kubernetes or Docker.
- Deep expertise identifying and solving performance bottlenecks in high-throughput distributed environments.
- Ability to define technical requirements and direction for ambiguous, complex problems.
- Broad engineering knowledge across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and software lifecycles.
