Base Salary
$55k - $152k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
- Design and maintain high-transaction distributed APIs and microservices.
- Write, test, deploy, maintain, and debug software.
- Propose solutions to address complex business needs.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation.
- Support releases and incidents, typically once per month.
- Apply risk management and customer-focused practices in software development.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Java experience, preferably with Java 11 or Java 17.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience with Kafka or MQ and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other cloud-based container management platforms.
- Proficiency with Oracle, SQL, MySQL, Redis, Hibernate, and ORMs.
- Experience with Spock or JUnit, SonarQube, Jenkins, Dynatrace, and Logscale.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Batch, Gradle, or Maven.
- Knowledge of application development, architecture, testing, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and software delivery processes.
- Bachelor’s degree and typically 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience; a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered instead.
- Candidates may be subject to additional background checks required by a specific government client contract.
