Base Salary
$115k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead development of a high-throughput, event-driven performance calculation engine on AWS.
- Lead migration of legacy performance reporting applications to a scalable, cloud-native technology platform.
- Design distributed systems using object-oriented languages, Apache Kafka, and AWS services.
- Define data modeling, schema design, observability, alerting, runbook, reliability, and auditability standards.
- Lead Agile delivery practices, technical design documentation, code reviews, testing, and adoption of appropriate cloud-native technologies.
- Mentor and lead a global engineering team, support career development, and foster an inclusive engineering culture.
- Translate financial business requirements into technical specifications and communicate architectural trade-offs and roadmap recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented software development experience, with C#/.NET preferred.
- Significant experience building cloud-native applications, with AWS preferred.
- Experience managing and guiding software development teams.
- Experience architecting highly available, distributed, event-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or an equivalent streaming or messaging platform.
- Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL data stores such as DynamoDB.
- Strong data modeling expertise across relational, columnar, key-value, and streaming patterns.
- Proven experience delivering through Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading legacy system modernization.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in applying AI/GenAI to engineering productivity, including code review, test-case creation, and code generation.
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with Snowflake, microservices architecture, serverless technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tooling.
- Financial Services experience is a plus.
