Base Salary
$68k - $85k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support security checks, control documentation, tool configuration validation, and risk escalation for AI infrastructure and AI-enabled development workflows.
- Review logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs to identify and document potential vulnerabilities or unusual behavior.
- Provision, configure, and maintain AWS services and related cloud infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Update and write basic Terraform, Serverless, and AWS CloudFormation templates under senior guidance.
- Support access management using AWS IAM and least-privilege principles.
- Troubleshoot issues with developers, QA, and operations teams and support safe releases for customer-facing web platforms.
- Maintain and improve automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture, deployments, access controls, and security protocols.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of AWS, cloud computing, networking, IAM, security groups, and common web infrastructure patterns.
- Basic familiarity with least privilege, access controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, and secure configuration practices.
- Ability to review logs and alerts, document findings, and escalate potential risks.
- Basic scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, Bitbucket Pipelines, pull requests, branching strategies, and change tracking.
- Awareness of responsible use of AI coding assistants and automation tools, including sensitive-information protection, output validation, and documentation of AI-assisted changes.
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Coursework, internships, graduate research, capstone projects, or hands-on work involving cloud security, DevSecOps, secure software development, application security, AI infrastructure, or responsible AI coding assistants is desirable.
- Relevant entry-level certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or CompTIA Security+ are helpful but not required.
