Software Engineer Graduate (AI Infrastructure — Compute Efficiency & Scheduling) - 2027 Start
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Build intelligent, AI-driven scheduling systems that determine where and how large-scale workloads run.
- Improve the efficiency of compute, memory, and power resources to reduce the cost of operating AI infrastructure.
- Help operate and stabilize a massive global platform across multiple regions.
- Build automation, including AI-agent-assisted tools, for system diagnosis and self-healing.
- Design, prototype, and deliver software that runs in production for real users.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as Go, C++, Rust, Python, or Java.
- A solid foundation in at least one of operating systems, distributed systems, computer architecture, networking, or large-scale software development.
- Curiosity about large-scale systems, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML infrastructure demonstrated through internships, coursework, research, competitions, or personal projects is preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to containers or cloud-native systems such as Kubernetes is preferred but not required.
- Experience contributing to open-source systems projects is a bonus.
