Responsibilities
- Set up SageMaker Unified Studio platforms.
- Advise on VPCs, subnets, and security groups in collaboration with the networking team.
- Automate domain and project creation within SageMaker Unified Studio, MyAccess, and Entra ID.
- Integrate Entra ID with AWS Identity Center.
- Create base CloudFormation templates supporting Bedrock and AgentCore integration.
- Integrate the platform with silver- and gold-layer data platforms.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines where appropriate, with infrastructure backed by CloudFormation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive enterprise platform best practices while maintaining governance and engineering rigor.
- Engage directly with enterprise clients in a consulting capacity.
Requirements
- Strong AWS experience.
- Strong Python skills.
- Strong AWS CDK experience.
- Experience setting up platforms from an enterprise perspective.
- Experience with enterprise builds and well-governed platform development.
- Ability to balance platform deliverables with governance and engineering rigor.
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least one relevant professional certification, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
- South African work authorization or a valid work permit.
