Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for high-volume data processing.
Lead the design and optimization of relational and non-relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of production data pipelines and backend services.
Provide hands-on production support through monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of time-sensitive issues.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, Design, and Architecture teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
Apply complex business logic to improve system capabilities and data workflows.
Champion code quality, performance tuning, maintainability, and continuous improvement across development, deployment, and monitoring.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
Lead initiatives and mentor peers.

3-7 years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise-grade backend and data systems.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data processing and application development.
Expertise in PostgreSQL, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
Experience supporting mission-critical, time-sensitive production environments and client-facing data delivery.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and scalable system design.
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Ability to lead initiatives, mentor peers, independently drive complex technical solutions, and adapt to evolving technical environments.
Ability to incorporate AI-enabled development workflows while maintaining security, code quality, and architectural standards.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
