Responsibilities
- Shape the organization’s technical strategy and innovation efforts.
- Set technical direction and ensure consistent execution of architectural and engineering decisions.
- Align software architecture closely with product management and future product direction.
- Lead the design of scalable, maintainable, secure, and state-of-the-art systems and APIs.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and resolve deep technical challenges.
- Mentor and challenge engineers and help build a high-performance engineering culture.
- Drive cross-functional technical alignment and critical decision-making.
- Design systems and APIs with machine-readable contracts and structured errors so AI agents can self-correct.
- Lead the organization’s transformation toward agentic engineering while maintaining human accountability.
Requirements
- At least five years of extensive hands-on software development experience using multiple general-purpose programming languages.
- Proven experience architecting scalable and secure systems with a strong commitment to quality.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs for system integration and communication.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders in business terms and understanding the technical implications of requirements.
- Industry-leading experience driving cross-functional teams and enforcing engineering alignment in fast-paced environments.
- Experience designing systems and APIs for AI-agent consumption, including structured errors and clear contracts.
- Ability to guide engineering teams through a transition to agentic engineering and safe agent-assisted workflows.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; German proficiency is a plus.
