Responsibilities
- Shape the organisation’s technical strategy, innovation efforts, and architectural direction.
- Ensure consistent execution of technical decisions and alignment between architecture and product management.
- Design scalable, maintainable, secure systems and APIs with machine-readable contracts and structured errors for AI agents.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Mentor engineers, guide cross-functional teams, and build a high-performance engineering culture.
- Lead the organisation’s transformation to agentic engineering while maintaining human accountability for outcomes.
- Embed security and reliability as direct customer value.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience with multiple general-purpose programming languages.
- Proven experience architecting scalable and secure systems with a strong commitment to quality.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs for system integration and communication.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders in business terms and understanding the technical implications of requirements.
- Industry-leading experience driving cross-functional teams, enforcing engineering alignment, and making and executing critical technical decisions.
- Experience designing systems and APIs for agent consumption, including structured errors and clear contracts that enable self-correction.
- Ability to guide engineering teams through a transition to agentic engineering.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; German proficiency is a plus.
