Responsibilities
- Own and build collections of services and technology areas as a senior software developer.
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve mission-critical cloud services and their architecture.
- Ensure service security, resiliency, scalability, performance, capacity, and operability.
- Develop automation and orchestration capabilities and execute upgrades and enhancements carefully.
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues and troubleshoot service dependencies.
- Engineer advanced capabilities for the Oracle Cloud service portfolio and communicate technical characteristics and architecture impacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related engineering field.
- At least 4 years of experience developing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and developing mission-critical Java backend microservices.
- Familiarity with Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Python for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, observability, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
