Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy software systems that optimize renewable and battery-storage operations.
- Integrate machine-learning and optimization models with cross-functional teams.
- Own the software development lifecycle from architecture and design through implementation and maintenance.
- Ensure production systems are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
- Diagnose bottlenecks, resolve real-time issues, and improve system performance and monitoring/alerting.
- Stay current on software engineering, renewable-energy, and grid-technology trends to drive innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on large-scale, real-time systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database design and deployment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed working environment.
- Experience in energy markets, renewable energy technologies, or energy storage systems is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with machine-learning and optimization models is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard tools is a strong plus.
- Frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Svelte is a strong plus.
