Responsibilities
- Design, develop, evaluate, fine-tune, personalize, and operationalize machine learning models and GenAI applications.
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective generative AI solutions.
- Design RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, model fine-tuning strategies, prompt engineering components, vector search, data processing, model evaluation, and inference serving.
- Develop prompts, analyze LLM responses, and iteratively improve prompt performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on dataset cleaning, transformation, augmentation, feature engineering, model selection, training, and deployment.
- Build and deploy scalable ML pipelines on GCP or an equivalent cloud platform.
- Act as the senior-most developer by writing clean, high-quality, scalable code and owning projects from conception through deployment.
- Lead and mentor ML or data science team members while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing and building ML/AI applications for customers and deploying them into production.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience building secure, scalable, and performant customer applications.
- At least 2 years of experience leading and mentoring ML or data science teams of four or more members.
- Experience with document extraction using AI, conversational AI, vision AI, NLP, or generative AI.
- Hands-on customer experience with RAG solutions or LLM fine-tuning.
- Expertise in Python, NumPy, Pandas, and machine learning libraries such as XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and LangChain.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud or another cloud platform and experience deploying scalable machine learning pipelines.
- Good understanding of natural language processing, computer vision, or other deep learning techniques.
- Preferred qualifications include Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning or TensorFlow Certified Developer certification, experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, AutoML and vision techniques, and a master's degree in statistics, machine learning, or a related field.
