Responsibilities
- Lead quality engineering, exploratory testing, and test automation for mobile, web, and API applications.
- Drive adoption of Quality Engineering, Performance Engineering, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and collaboration services across delivery teams.
- Lead product-quality and release-quality deliverables, including code quality, testing services, performance engineering, environment automation, and development collaboration.
- Create and integrate acceptance and integration test automation with continuous integration and code coverage tools.
- Ensure staff have the skills and behaviors needed to execute effectively, including through goal setting, performance management, and improvement plans.
- Partner with Quality Engineers, Operations, Developers, Devops Engineers, Product Management, and Program Management to define project scope and deliver services.
- Mentor and develop resources and foster strategic thinking, continuous learning, and high-quality customer experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience with Quality Engineering practices and concepts.
- Demonstrated success leading small- to large-scale software development, testing, and performance efforts across multiple groups.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, Appium, JBehave/Cucumber, databases, REST/SOAP APIs, and continuous delivery tools.
- Experience with Jenkins or Bamboo, Sonar or Clover, and vulnerability tools such as Checkmarx or Fortify, including achieving at least 80% code coverage.
- Expertise in BDD/TDD, code review and analysis, agile and waterfall delivery, software testing standards, and lifecycle management tools.
- Experience with performance engineering and profiling involving Java JVMs and databases, including LoadRunner and JMeter.
- Knowledge of payment-domain message flows, architecture, common design patterns, ISO message protocols, and simulation or emulation tools is highly desirable.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies and device clouds such as Perfecto, DeviceAnywhere, and Testdroid.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code concepts, Chef, or Puppet is desirable.
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and mentoring resources in a high-performance culture.
