Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the QA team while remaining hands-on with automation design and development.
  • Own automation strategy, including framework design, tool selection, scalability, and governance.
  • Design, develop, review, and maintain automated test suites across UI and API layers.
  • Execute complex and critical automated and manual tests and translate user stories into test scenarios.
  • Champion AI-enabled QA practices such as test generation, self-healing automation, intelligent test selection, and defect analysis.
  • Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and establish coding, test design, and framework best practices.
  • Track and improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and defect leakage.
  • Mentor team members and drive continuous improvements in QA frameworks, tools, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, another technical field, or Business with an MIS background; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of QA experience with strong hands-on automation expertise.
  • Experience building and scaling automation frameworks from scratch and enhancing existing frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Deep experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Strong API automation testing experience with Rest Assured, Postman, or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience integrating automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, including STLC, SDLC, and test design techniques.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to AI-driven QA practices and experience with JIRA, Xray, or similar test management and defect tracking tools are preferred.
  • Ability to mentor teams on automation best practices and coding standards.
  • Financial services or a similar domain experience is preferred.
