Base Salary
$100k - $144k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of scalable, efficient, secure SaaS products using Laravel, Vue.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Design and develop full-stack features, RESTful APIs, single-page applications, and scalable SaaS platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, program teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to meet business and customer needs.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor software engineers, and improve engineering quality and continuous learning.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex full-stack issues while maintaining performance, security, scalability, and user experience.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, serverless environments, deployment patterns, monitoring, and alerting.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.
- Write testable, functional code and tests using Pest and PHPUnit.
- Contribute to software development strategy supporting energy efficiency and decarbonization products.
Requirements
- Advanced object-oriented PHP 8.x expertise and 10+ years of hands-on experience building software with PHP frameworks such as Laravel.
- 6+ years of experience building software with Vue or similar JavaScript frameworks, including single-page applications, the Composition API, state management, and modular component design.
- Experience with TypeScript, build tools such as Vite and npm, Git-based workflows, and Laravel ecosystem deployment patterns.
- Experience designing and leading architecture and development for scalable SaaS platforms and building stable APIs that integrate with other services.
- Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless environments, and interpreting monitoring and alerting systems such as New Relic and CloudWatch.
- Experience writing testable and functional code, including tests with Pest and PHPUnit.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, adapt flexibly, and collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team environment.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Preferred: proven commercial SaaS product development experience, exposure to data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence platforms, and familiarity with Node.js.
