Base Salary
$144k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and evolve the bundle management tool that resolves dependencies and assembles mission-specific software stacks.
- Develop and harden onboard Linux infrastructure, including service deployment, execution management, and failure recovery.
- Evolve the Runtime Container Environment, including base images and the container registry service, for partner and customer workloads.
- Scale the deployment pipeline as new hardware platforms and satellite programs are added.
- Contribute to product validation and validate software readiness before orbital deployment.
- Design, implement, and refine software from concept through delivery with a high degree of ownership.
- Participate in code reviews, design proposals, and continuous development-process improvement.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar runtimes.
- Deep knowledge of Linux boot processes, service management, filesystem layout, and failure recovery.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab-CI or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with embedded or resource-constrained systems.
- Working proficiency with Python.
- Preferred qualifications include OTA deployment experience, golden images, A/B partitions, staged rollouts, safe rollback, C++, CUE, Go, Rust, Yocto, device trees, systemd, Linux on ARM, unit testing frameworks, and middleware frameworks.
