Base Salary

$117k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver cloud infrastructure automation tools, frameworks, workflows, and validation platforms on public cloud platforms.
  • Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems across thousands of compute nodes and multiple data centers.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code and microservices using containerization and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Mesos.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and improve system availability, resilience, and performance while balancing feature delivery and technical debt.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and live-site management to keep services operational and highly available.
  • Configure, deploy, manage, and maintain large cloud-hosted systems and infrastructure automation platforms.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of backend software development experience using Python with cloud architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting, servers, cloud architecture, and Linux internals.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
  • Experience with public cloud engineering on GCP, AWS, or Azure, including cloud-scale provisioning, infrastructure, and migration.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container and orchestration systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Splunk, Puppet, Spinnaker, Terraform, Git, Chef, Salt, or Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, load balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP, switches, and routers.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Travis CI and with maintaining monitoring platforms such as Grafana.
  • Experience implementing large infrastructure projects and working in high-availability, 24x7x365, multi-data-center environments.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS Route 53, packet and network analysis, troubleshooting, analytical fault diagnosis, and security hardening such as DNSSEC.
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, continuous-learning, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion orientation.
