Responsibilities
- Allocate day-to-day work for platform engineers and provide technical guidance, feedback, and development support.
- Build, provision, and maintain production cloud infrastructure on Azure.
- Own infrastructure-as-code foundations using Terraform or Bicep, including reusable module design, standards, and code review.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipeline architecture, deployment patterns, promotion gates, and release automation.
- Lead SRE practices including SLO and SLI definitions, alerting, monitoring, on-call support, and post-incident reviews.
- Build and maintain observability tooling for distributed tracing, log pipelines, and metrics collection.
- Partner with product and feature engineering teams to support deployments and adoption of platform tooling.
- Document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational processes and drive reliability and tooling improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of production experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, storage, identity, and security services.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools, including reusable module design and review.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SRE principles, SLOs, SLIs, alerting, on-call practices, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Experience with cloud observability tooling for monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
- Experience implementing identity, access management, network security, and secrets management controls.
- Strong communication skills and experience working across globally distributed engineering teams.
- Preferred: experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, and Azure Security Center.
- Preferred: experience with IoT, biosensor, real-time consumer health data, AIOps, AI-driven observability, MLOps infrastructure, model serving, feature stores, or cloud pipeline orchestration.
- Preferred: familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI compliance frameworks and consumer technology or digital health environments.
