Responsibilities
- Develop UI framework foundations and authoring tools for League of Legends.
- Collaborate with technology owners, content teams, engineers, designers, and artists across the organization.
- Contribute to technical discussions and designs overseen by the team.
- Own the software lifecycle for frameworks, platforms, and tools, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Drive the delivery of features and workflows that improve partner effectiveness and quality of life.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Participate in the team’s support rotation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep hands-on experience with C/C++ across several use cases and platforms.
- At least 5 years of video game industry experience involving multiple game development UIs and an example of a shipped game.
- Experience driving several organization-sized development efforts with one-year-or-longer scopes, including requirements gathering, planning, and testing.
- Experience maintaining software development best practices covering design and code reviews, coding standards, source control management, testing, delivery performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience working with a custom, internally developed game engine and tooling.
- Expertise with UX artist workflows.
- A collaborative spirit, player empathy, and a demonstrated personal relationship with games.
