Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services.
- Lead or support migrations from on-premises and legacy environments to AWS.
- Analyze existing systems and define rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or modernization strategies.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using AWS services.
- Implement cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
- Integrate AI models and AI-enabled services for automation, analytics, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and integration issues across development, testing, and production.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment and release management practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical planning.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field with at least 12 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 8 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience, including object-oriented design and enterprise application development.
- Proven experience with AWS cloud migration projects and cloud architecture.
- Experience with application programming interfaces, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI models, machine learning concepts, or AI-powered application integration.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD tools, and agile development practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience includes Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Terraform, AI/ML platforms, model deployment, prompt engineering, generative AI services, cloud security, IAM, encryption, compliance, legacy modernization, Splunk, or Datadog.
