Responsibilities
- Support sales teams and senior solution engineers with customer and prospect presentations, demos, and technical explanations.
- Understand customer business challenges and technical requirements and connect them to Snowflake’s value.
- Support the preparation and execution of PoCs and technical validations throughout the sales cycle.
- Continuously learn about data, cloud, and AI developments and deepen understanding of competing and related technologies.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, sales, and partner teams and share customer feedback and field learnings.
- Progressively develop technical, presentation, and customer-proposal skills according to the expectations of Snowflake’s Japan solution engineering organization.
Requirements
- Strong interest in SaaS, cloud, data platforms, analytics, or AI and the ability to learn continuously.
- Willingness to explain technical concepts clearly to customers or internal audiences.
- Basic understanding of databases, data warehouses, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data utilization, or hands-on learning experience.
- Ability to understand customer challenges and connect them to solution proposals.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in Japanese and comfort conducting business in English.
- Ability to learn collaboratively and achieve results as part of one team.
- Preferred: experience in presales, solution proposals, sales engineering, solution engineering, consulting, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with demos, hands-on sessions, PoCs, technical validation, or customer presentations.
- Preferred: knowledge of public cloud, BI, data integration, AI/ML, or related technologies.
- Preferred: experience working with both technical and business stakeholders in a customer-facing environment.
- Preferred: ability to act independently and learn quickly in a fast-changing environment.
