Base Salary
$112k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software utilities and automation scripts for data governance.
- Develop integrations between governance tools and other platforms using APIs and SDKs.
- Automate data cataloging, classification, metadata management, data access controls, and policy enforcement.
- Configure, schedule, monitor, and remediate catalog scans and metadata harvesting jobs.
- Build and maintain data lineage tracking and self-service access request workflows.
- Develop low-code/no-code solutions for governed data assets.
- Maintain governance coverage metrics, reporting, documentation, and compliance procedures.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate governance policies into code.
- Monitor healthcare data governance, privacy, regulatory, and data protection changes and incorporate them into the program.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience building software utilities, automations, or data tooling using Python or a similar language.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with integrations through APIs and SDKs.
- Experience working with SQL and data querying tools.
- Hands-on Microsoft Purview experience is strongly preferred, including cataloging, classification, lineage, APIs, and SDKs.
- Familiarity with data governance and cataloging platforms such as Purview, Databricks, Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management, data architecture, and compliance requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate, Certified Data Management Professional, or DAMA Certified Data Steward.
- Healthcare or revenue cycle management experience and familiarity with EHR, ICD/CPT, and SNOMED/LOINC data are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Must be willing and able to travel to client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
- Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
