Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Deliver cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across teams and shape system architecture, platform roadmaps, and long-term technology direction.
- Mentor engineering professionals and drive technical-team development, coding standards, design patterns, observability, and reliability practices.
- Lead architectural design reviews and cross-functional engineering initiatives while influencing enterprise-wide technology standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 9+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, 5+ years with open source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and 5+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred experience includes database systems, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, and distributed-system performance optimization.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing reliability practices, influencing technology strategy, and leading large-scale technical initiatives.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
