Senior Guidewire Developer (PolicyCenter)
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Lead the design, development, configuration, and implementation of complex Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions.
- Configure PolicyCenter products, lines of business, UI elements, data models, business rules, workflows, and integrations.
- Develop integrations using SOAP/REST web services, batch processes, message queues, and event messaging.
- Create unit tests and GUnit tests, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and serve as a PolicyCenter subject matter expert.
- Participate in client-facing discussions, provide technical guidance, estimate work, and lead sprint backlog prioritization.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, QA, and developers to deliver solutions.
- Create technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and deployment procedures.
- Apply AI-enabled methods, reusable accelerators, and automation to improve Professional Services delivery.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Experience with Gosu, PCF, Entities, Typelists, Apache Camel, RESTful APIs, Bitbucket, and IntelliJ.
- Experience with APD, the Rating Engine, and Integration Gateway.
- In-depth knowledge of the Guidewire platform, including UI, data model, Studio, out-of-the-box features, and accelerators.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud is preferred.
- Guidewire PolicyCenter ACE certification is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work shifts as needed to align with US colleagues and customers.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Ability to embrace AI and use data-driven insights to improve innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
