Responsibilities
- Build products for artists and record labels as part of a cross-functional team.
- Contribute across all tiers of the architecture and write clean, tested, maintainable code.
- Work with product management to understand client requirements.
- Design, communicate, and execute technical vision with the team and broader technology organization.
- Participate in system re-architecture, refinement, and technical design.
- Champion AI-powered engineering tools and architect AI-driven product features.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous learning.
- Define team best practices and standards, build supporting tooling, and optimize systems, schemas, data structures, and KPIs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience implementing distributed systems.
- Experience with Python or JavaScript and frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.
- Experience with database technologies and query languages, including Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with low-latency techniques, microservices, APIs, REST, HTTP, and OAuth.
- Comfort with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience using log analysis to investigate bugs and performance issues.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests and working in an agile team.
- Ability to mobilize teams around a vision and lead execution.
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, machine-learning builds and releases at commercial scale, and optimization of tables, schemas, and data structures.
- Ability to determine sensible KPIs and optimize against them.
