Base Salary
$141k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications for complex automated laboratory workflows and closed-loop learning systems.
- Build data pipelines and visualization tools for real-time laboratory and experimental insights.
- Implement machine learning models for visual inspection, predictive maintenance, and process optimization.
- Create digital laboratory infrastructure including IoT integrations, digital lab twins, and telemetry monitoring.
- Integrate automation schedulers, LIMS, and data platforms.
- Deploy and maintain software using DevOps practices and cloud-based solutions.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioengineering, or Engineering plus at least 3 years of industry experience; or M.S. plus at least 10 years; or B.S. plus at least 13 years.
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical company or automation provider.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of C#, VBA, R, C++, MATLAB, and Bash.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools, business intelligence platforms, DevOps, database management, data warehousing, software development, cloud computing, and version control.
- Experience with lab digitalization, IoT device integration, digital lab twins, telemetry, autonomous lab systems, and closed-loop learning frameworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Benchling, LabGuru, PostgreSQL, Genedata, or similar LIMS/ELN systems.
- Background in life sciences, pharmaceutical research, or high-throughput screening environments, with strong cross-functional problem-solving skills.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $141,000-$228,800, plus eligibility for a company bonus.
