Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain data platform and infrastructure covering warehousing and analytics, streaming, replication and materialization, orchestration, observability, access, and governance
- Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to launch data-backed products
- Improve data competency across Brex through partnership and education
- Build resilient data architectures, participate in on-call rotations, and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a data infrastructure or data platform role
- Experience with one or more of Snowflake, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or CDC
- Fluency in Kotlin or Kotlin-like development languages such as Python
- Experience building and maintaining a large-scale modern data stack
- Experience with streaming infrastructure such as Kafka
- Experience in backend engineering or full-stack development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly across team boundaries and in cross-functional relationships
- Bonus: experience collaborating with product teams or building full-stack data-backed products
- Bonus: experience with data architecture and data strategy
- Willingness to work in the office three days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
