Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met in implementation.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise full-stack Java applications in a large corporate environment.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets, produce visualizations and reporting, and use insights to improve applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
  • Deliver microservices and containerized applications through production AWS deployments.
  • Contribute reusable AI-assisted development patterns and guide peers on responsible, secure AI use.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java 17 or later.
  • Enterprise application development experience using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Strong experience delivering software through the SDLC using Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with microservices, containerization, AWS EKS and/or ECS deployed to EC2, Terraform, and production AWS deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, cloud technologies, reactive Java, React, Angular, and an RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
